Service Dogs for Veterans
Return to HealReturn to Heal provides service dogs to help veterans with PTSD and mobility issues. The organization was founded by two combat veterans: Jason Harvey and Thomas Hansen.
Our Mission
Return to Heal’s mission is to better the quality of life of our nation’s disabled veterans and their families utilizing the companionship of service dogs. We will achieve this through service dog education, training, advocating, while sharing canine experience and providing veteran peer-support.
what we do
Return to Heal has been founded by two of our great nation’s Military Working Dog Handler/Trainers. One a soldier and one a Marine, both co-founders have extensive experience training many MWD’s and handlers as along with extensive combat experience overseas.
With the knowledge of how our MWD’s impacted our lives, we at Return to Heal want to share that experience with fellow disabled veterans. With the ability to better understand our fellow disabled veterans while sharing similar challenges after deployment, we want to share our similar successes which comes with having a canine companion.

About Our dogs
All of our service dogs are local rescues or donations from reputable breeders. During training, volunteers often foster the dogs to ensure top-notch care. We are open to working with all breeds, but each dog must pass an initial review for aptitude for the service dog lifestyle and training process.

Our Commitment to Quality
Return to Heal intends to be accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI). We are in the process of completing this endeavor currently. With that goal in mind, Return to heal follows ADI’s guidelines and standards regarding the training and placement of our service dogs.
